09:30 am departure from Vulcano for the tour of the island of Vulcano.
We will skirt Vulcanello, a small promontory connected to the island of Vulcano via an isthmus of land. Its peculiarity is found in the "Valley of Monsters", a part of the island with strange figures with a monstrous aspect created by the lava.
We will continue the navigation for the Faraglioni. we will visit the Grotta degli Angeli and the Grotta del Cavallo and the Piscina di Venere, a magical place surrounded by the legend according to which the goddess Venus dived into these waters to find her lost virginity.
We will continue to Gelso, a small, sparsely populated village characterized by unspoiled nature and a beautiful lighthouse.
During navigation, at the discretion of the captain and weather and sea conditions permitting, we will make some stops to allow you to swim in the splendid sea of the island.
Once on the island of Vulcano we will carry out the independent visit. Vulcano is famous for the volcanic manifestations that characterize it, from muds to underwater fumaroles.
You can go to the Baia delle Sabbie Nere, a volcanic beach of very black sand or visit the mud area or stroll through the center of the island.
For hikers, the path to the Fossa del crater di Vulcano is an extraordinary half. The climb of the crater lasts less than two hours (round trip) starting from the pier. From the top of the crater you can admire the fumarole field on the west side of the crater (Gran Cratere) walking in the middle of one of the few places on the planet where you can see the drops of molten sulfur.
In the afternoon we will return to the port of Vulcano.
